Mobile phone troubleshooting

The main component with the function and troubleshooting:

1. Switch's antenna
   Function : As processor, complete and merger the RX signal and TX signal.
   Trouble Shooting
   • There is no network

   • Signal fluctuates

2. IC Audio (COBBA)
   Function : As voice signal processor from IC RF, and then braced and Sustained to speaker, Bracing voice vibration that changed by mic to be electricity vibration then sustained to IC RF, Runing command from CPU. In IC Audio there are PCM (Pulse Code Module's and EEPROM that functioned to read incoming signal code from operator for accustommed with IMEI. Otherwise, it keep permanent data like imei, Phone code, etc.

3. IC CPU
   Function : CPU is electronics component which is integrated. Task of this component are very significant, Because this component is brain of handphone. So CPU is centre of handphone system.

4. IC Power (CCONT)
   Function : As Supplier of electricity to each component according the need.
   Trouble Shooting
   • Died
   • Insert simcard
   • Contact Service
   • Restart
   • Not charging
   • LCD Blank
5. IC UEM
   Function : As Supplier electricity to each component according the need. IC UEM is federation from IC Power, IC UI, IC Charging.
   Trouble Shooting
   • Died
   • UPP Bad Respon 02
   • Error data 2 ( Tornado )

   • Phone restic
6. IC Flash
   Function : This component as data storage in handphone that is not permanent in other word can be changed or added with data in computer. This tool has same function with hard-disk in computer.
   Trouble Shooting
   • Restart
   • HP off suddenly
   • Contact Service
   • LCD is blank
   • Totally off
   • One of data lost from menu
7. EEPROM (Electrically Erase Programable Read Only Memory)
   Function : As data storage in handphone that designed doesn't irrespective with handphone electricity, because there is special battery or electricity, usually this component save factory data likes IMEI1, IMEI2, Security Code, Program version and Maker date. But for the new version of Nokia the data can't be changed.
   Trouble Shooting
   • Totally off (Software)
8. MCU (Master Control Unit)
   Function : Data in handphone is located in audio IC, it is permanent from factory, like: program version, IMEI, year, and phone code.

9. RAM IC
   Function : Basically this component is data storage, but only temporary, because this component depend on electricity inside of it. If handphone is off the data will be lost. This component related to CPU's activities. If the capacity of RAM greater, the performance CPU will be better, but if RAM is damage, CPU can not work.
   
10. IC Charging
    Function : This component will work automatically at admission and work only to charge the battery that controlled by CPU using controlling IC.
    Trouble Shooting
    • No charging
    • Wasful of battery
11. IC UI
    Function : As data controlling which is commanded by IC CPU in Vibrator, Buzzer, Led and as an automatic switch in handphone.
    Trouble Shooting
    • Totally of
    • No vibrating
    • No ringing
    • Led id off
12. IC PA
    Function : As TX's signal controller and signal lasing that will transmit using antena switch component of handphone.
    Trouble Shooting
    • The signal out then lost
    • Can't transmit
    • Network searching

    • Totally off
13. IC RF (HAGAR)
    Function : As RX's signal controlling (in) and TX (out), in order to every part can work well. This component consists of some part, That is: IF, Mixer, Oscillator, Detector, Encoder, Decoder, AFC, Tone Frequency and Squelch.

    • Out of one of networks
    • Totally off
    • Restart
    • LCD white blank
14. IC VCO (Voltage Control Oscilator)
    Function : As oscillator/frequency generator that sent using TX's (transmitter) and frequency that pass RX (receiver) so that being equal with transmitted. Moreover this component as pulse voltage regulator from RF Signal Processor.

    • Only one card is well
    • Network searching
    • The signal out then lost
15. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)
    Function : As a tool that will display all handphone activities, as media of read and write in handphone.
    Trouble Shooting
    • Blank
    • Disorder words
    • Broken word
16. Keypad
    Function : As input device that give data command to CPU to be processed and sent to other component in handphone.
    Trouble Shooting

17. Battery
    Function : As electricity source that need to give electricity in handphone. There are kinds of handphone battery that is Nickel-Metal Hydrate (NiMH), Lithium-Ion (LiON), and Lithium-Poly-I RI- (LiPoly's).
